Welcome
On behalf of the Board of Directors
of the Pennsylvania Association of Student Assistance Professionals, I am
pleased and honored to invite you to the 22
nd
Annual PASAP Conference to be held from February 26-28, 2012, at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel in State College, PA.
This
year’s conference promises to be one of our most exciting and rewarding with
keynote and workshop presentations focusing on the current and key issues that
face our youth today. We continue to strive to deliver meaningful, skill and
prevention based professional development opportunities that will provide
participants with the tools to, in turn, affect student learning, achievement,
and success.
Our
theme continues to be "One Student at a Time," which speaks to the
important work you do every day to support the children of our Commonwealth. As
with the poignant story of the young person throwing the starfish back into the
ocean one by one, Student Assistance Professionals do make a difference for
each and every child that is referred for support.
We encourage you to review the
conference keynote and breakout session descriptions to glean a flavor for the
many topics and offerings available. In addition, please remember to take
advantage of the early bird discount by registering online prior to 2/1/2012.
