If you have not already done so, please register now for the 2015 Safe Schools Conference, "Keeping Our Children Safe: Strategies for Schools and Communities." This year's conference will be held at the Hilton Harrisburg located in Harrisburg, PA. on October 29-30, 2015.
This conference is presented by the Center for Safe Schools and the Highmark Foundation in partnership with the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, Pennsylvania Department of Education, Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency, Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, Pennsylvania State Police and Mid-Atlantic Equity Center.
In addition to half-day institutes and workshops on a variety of school safety and youth violence prevention topics, two keynote speakers will be featured:
On Thursday, a keynote session titled, "School Climate 2.0 " by Sameer Hinduja, Ph.D. will be featured. Dr. Hinduja is co-director of the Cyberbullying Research Center, and a professor of criminology and criminal justice, Florida Atlantic University, Jupiter, FL.
On Friday, a keynote session titled, "Why Race and Culture Matter in Schools" by Tyrone Howard, Ph.D. will be featured. Dr. Howard is faculty director, Division of Urban Schooling, the Graduate School of Education and Information Studies at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the director of the Black Male Institute, Los Angeles, CA.

REGISTRATION FEE
The regular registration fee of $175/per person will be charged for this high quality, two-day training event through 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. Any registration received thereafter will be charged the late/onsite registration rate of $275/per person.
