PASAP Webinar: "Getting SAP Ready for Another Busy Year: A District Wide Perspective" with Alycia Lenart and Terrie Taylor from Caron Treatment Center’s Education Department

Webinar Description: How to prepare SAP teams for the start of the school year. Tips including reaching out to staff and admin, updating forms used and providing information to all stakeholders will be shared. The different needs of secondary and ESAP teams will be discussed, as well as how teams can work together district wide to ensure family/student needs are met across the school life span. 

Speaker Bio: 

Alycia Lenart is part of the Student Assistance Department at Caron Treatment Centers since 1999.  She is a Student Assistance Coordinator for Exeter Township Senior High School, and over the last 20 years has provided SAP services to every school district in Berks County.  She also provides Student Assistance Program Training and is an approved Lead Trainer for the Pennsylvania Department of Education.   Prior to Caron, Alycia worked at Berks Women in Crisis, for five years and helped to develop and implement their prevention department PeaceWorks.  She is earned her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies with a double major in social work and child psychology through Radford University.

Terrie Taylor, LSW has over 20 years of experience working with children and adolescents.  She started her career in public child welfare, working with children in foster care, matching eligible children with adoptive families, and supervising other caseworkers.  She has also worked as a Behavioral Specialist with autistic children, collaborating with families and educators to help meet their needs, and worked in the Psychiatric Emergency Room at Reading Hospital.  She has worked as a SAP specialist with Caron Treatment Centers since 2013.    Terrie also serves on her local school board and volunteers with the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
