CONFERENCE GENEERAL INFORMATION

As you plan your conference experience, please take some time to review the general information below.  This information will answer many of your questions.  Use the Quick Links on the right to navigate between topics.

Conference 2018 Registration Rate and Payment Information

Registration for the conference will be open in
early November 2017

  • All registrations are to be submitted online.
  • Payment will be accepted by check, credit card, or purchase order.
  • PASAP's Federal ID # (employer identification number) is 23-2619764. Download a copy of PASAP's Taxpayer Identification Number and Certification (W-9). 
  • All payments by check or credit card must be made by March 15, 2018 (including payments by purchase order). Once you finalize registration, it is your responsibility to print out your invoice and submit it with your purchase order or other request for payment.
  • Registration will remain open throughout the conference.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing, postmarked by February 9, 2018.

Cancellations received prior to the cutoff date will receive a refund less a $50.00 service charge.  Cancellations after the cutoff date, failure to attend or failure to notify the PASAP office in writing will result in forfeiture of the entire registration fee.  Substitutes are always welcome.

No refunds will be granted due to inclement weather.

Cancellation Due to Unforeseen Events

If the PASAP-PAMLE Conference cannot be conducted due to acts of God, war, government regulation, disaster, strikes, civil disorder, curtailment of transportation facilities or other emergencies making it inadvisable, illegal or impossible to provide the facilities or to hold the meeting, each prepaid registrant will receive any gifts provided to conference attendees. Fixed conference expenses will be paid from the registration funds. Any remaining funds will be refunded to registrants. PASAP-PAMLE is not responsible for any other costs incurred by registrants in connection with the conference. 

 

Professional Development Credits

We are pleased to announce that PASAP and the Conference 2017 supports up to (TBD) hours of professional development credits by the following organizations:
 

Act 48 

PASAP is an Act 48 Approved Provider.  Participants can earn up to 14 hours of Act 48 credit (full conference attendance). Participants must provide their Professional Personnel ID (PPID) number when registering and must submit the completed Participant Record at the conclusion of the conference to verify attendance at all sessions in their entirety to receive credit.
 
Social Work
 
Social Work credits will be offered again this year. A payment of $10 will be collected from interested participants at the time of conference check-in. Confirmation of completed workshop attendance hours is forwarded to the University of Pittsburgh at the conclusion of the conference.  Certificates are then mailed directly to participants within a few weeks.

PA Certification Board (PCB)

Attendees wishing to obtain PCB credits may submit an application to the PA Certification Board for individual approval. The application can be found on the PCB website at
http://www.pacertboard.org/ - click on “Education” at the top of the webpage; click on "Education and Trainer Forms;" and click on the "Individual Education Approval" form. There is a nominal fee to be submitted to PCB with your completed Individual Education Approval form and PASAP Letter of Attendance. The PASAP Letter of Attendance will be sent electronically following the conclusion of the conference. 

PARTICIPANT RECORD

PASAP and PAMLE are Approved Act 48 and Social Work Credit Providers. In order for you to receive credit for this session, participants must be present for the entire session. Please see a PASAP or PAMLE official to receive your confirmation of attendance at the conclusion of each offering. Deposit the completed Participant Record at the Registration Desk at the conclusion of your attendance at the conference.

EVALUATIONS

In an effort to be fiscally and environmentally responsible, PASAP and PAMLE have "Gone Green." Your session and conference evaluations are available electronically. Please visit the PASAP or PAMLE website at the conclusion of your session and following the entire conference to complete these evaluations. You must complete these evaluations in order to receive your Act 48, Social Work, or other credit. This will also assist speakers and future conference planning. Exhibitor Hall

Be sure to take some time during your stay to visit the exhibits throughout the conference area. Exhibitor tables will be located in the conference lobby, Dean's Hall area and the First Floor Break area for your convenience.  The latest resources, textbooks, instructional materials, educational and treatment services will be available. Company representatives are looking forward to discussing their products and services as well as answering your questions. Please take time to visit the exhibit areas.

MATERIALS AVAILABLE AT THE BOOK TABLE!

Publications will be available for purchase at the book table in the conference registration area. Take advantage of this opportunity to acquire some of these excellent publications.

Hospitality Services

For the convenience of conference attendees, the committee has created a courtesy desk. At all times throughout the day there will be a PAMLE or PASAP board member there to help answer any questions you may have. 

Meals

There not be meal tickets issued for this year's conference.  All attendees will be scanned into meals via the QR code located on the front of your name badge.  Be sure to have your name badge with you in order to enter meals, general sessions and breakout sessions.

Door Prizes

Scattered throughout the conference there will be many opportunities to win prizes. These prizes have been donated by our sponsors as well as gathered by Executive Board members from area businesses throughout the Commonwealth. Just by being registered, your name is automatically included for the prize drawings. Please note, when winners’ names are drawn you must be present to win!

Many Exhibitor's will also present prizes to those who have visited their table.  Another great reason to visit all the exhibitor tables during the conference.

Photo/Publicity Policy

Note to attendees: PASAP/PAMLE photographers will be taking conference shots for our newsletter and web page. If you prefer not be photographed, please alert the photographer.
